Privacy Policy
RoundShare is the home for your riding life — your rounds, your horses, your shows. This policy explains what information we collect and how we look after it.

1. Who we are
RoundShare (“RoundShare”, “we”, “us”) operates the RoundShare mobile app and website at getroundshare.com. You can reach us at any time at support@getroundshare.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, password, profile photo, birth year, and the role you choose when you sign up (rider, parent or trainer). We ask for the year only, not a full date of birth, and use it to apply the under-18 privacy rule. You may also add your barn name, trainer name, USEF member number and a short bio. If you sign in with Google or with Apple, we receive your name and email address from them. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email address, and we work with that.
- Riding content. The videos, photos, captions, results, ribbons and memories you capture, plus the horses, shows and classes you associate them with.
- Horse and show information. Horse names, shows you attend or follow, and your check-ins.
- Community activity. Comments, mentions, follows, and stories you share with other riders.
- Push notifications and device information. If you turn notifications on, we store a notification token for your device, along with the device model, platform and app version, so we can deliver the notification and support the app. Turning a notification off stops it being recorded at all.
- Support messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can help you.
What we do not collect. RoundShare has no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software in it at all, and never asks your device for its location. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and keep it secure.
- To store, organize and display the rides, photos and memories you capture — to you, and to the people you choose to share them with.
- To power community features you opt into, such as following riders and horses, commenting, and ringside stories.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To send you service messages about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. How we share information
We share information only in these situations:
- With the audience you choose. Your content is private by default. It is visible to other riders only when you share it — for example by posting to the community, sharing a story, or approving a follower on a private account. You control this in your privacy settings.
- With service providers. Supabase hosts the database, files and sign-in; Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) delivers account emails such as sign-in codes and password resets; Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications to Android devices; Apple’s Push Notification service delivers them to iPhones and iPads. These providers act on our behalf under terms that limit their use of your data.
- For legal reasons. If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of RoundShare, our riders, or others.
- A business transfer. If RoundShare is ever acquired or merged, we will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Children's privacy
RoundShare is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. Riders between 13 and 17 may use RoundShare only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
A rider under 18 is private automatically. It is not a setting she has to find and could forget — the rule is enforced by our database from her birth year, and she cannot switch it off. Her rounds and posts are visible only to followers she has approved, and she cannot be discovered by strangers. Parents can ask us at any time what we hold about their child, correct it, or have the account deleted.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@getroundshare.com and we will remove the account and its content.
6. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by emailing us. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone — your profile, rounds, photos, videos and community activity are removed, along with the files behind them. See our Delete Account page for details. Backups may retain limited data for up to 90 days before being purged.
7. Security
We protect your information in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage for your media, and strict access controls. No service is perfectly secure, but we design RoundShare so a breach would expose as little as possible — and we will notify you promptly if something ever goes wrong.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access, correct or delete your information from the app, or by emailing us.
- Privacy settings. Make your account private, remove followers, and control who sees your stories and community posts.
- Notifications. Turn push notifications on or off in your device settings and in the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with your local authority. Email us and we will honour them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RoundShare evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
