Delete your account

You can delete your account whenever you like, and when you go, your content goes with you. Deletion is immediate and it cannot be undone, so please read what follows before you start.

Delete your account in the app

  • Open RoundShare and go to your profile.
  • Tap the settings icon.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
  • Confirm.

Your account is gone when the confirmation completes. There is no waiting period, no deactivation step, and no way for us to bring it back afterwards. If you only want a break, you can make your profile private in Settings instead.

Or request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or you are a parent asking on behalf of your child, write to support@getroundshare.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address on the account. Tell us the rider’s name as it appears in the app, and if you are a parent, say so. We verify that the request comes from the account holder or their parent before we act, and we confirm by email when it is done.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your profile: name, display name, birth year, barn and trainer names, USEF number, bio, profile photo and cover photo.
  • Your sign-in and the account itself.
  • Every round you filmed and every photo you added, including the video and image files themselves, not just the records pointing at them.
  • Your results, placings, show entries and season record.
  • Your posts, comments, stories and moments.
  • Your follows, follow requests, and your tags on other people's content.
  • Your device's push notification token.
  • Your name where it had been copied onto other records — for example, a team you led no longer carries your name.

Horses are not deleted. A horse is a shared record with its own career, and it may have had riders before you and may have riders after you. Deleting your account removes your connection to a horse and everything you filmed of it. It does not erase the horse’s history for anybody else.

What may remain

  • Encrypted backups may hold deleted material for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
  • If you filed or were the subject of an abuse report, we may keep a record that the report was handled, without your name attached, so a pattern of behaviour is not erased by deleting an account.
  • Anything another rider saved to their own device is theirs and is beyond our reach.
